The article analyzes examples of the movement of the original texts of canceled and existing constitutions within the country and beyond. The author divides the reasons for the movement of constitutions into two main groups: ordinary movements (movements in order to im-prove storage conditions or in connection with the reforms of archival affairs in the country) and extraordinary (“travels” of the original texts of constitutions associated with revolutions, wars and other tragic events in the history of the country). Various events accompanying the movements of the original and related significant historical and cultural artifacts were associated with these reasons. In conclusion, the author notes that the “travels” of the originals of constitutions and copies of the lost originals of constitutions are an important integral part of the constitutional culture and constitutional history of the country, reflecting their specifics, and as such are subject to detailed study to create an objective picture of the spe-cifics of the formation of the constitutional system in the country.
