The author analyzes the influence of cultural and historical values on the vocabulary of the Argentine version of the Spanish language. The purpose of the article is to identify the values that define Argentines and demonstrate their influence on the lexical composition of the Argentine version of the Spanish language. The psycholinguistic approach allows us to identify the value representations of the ethnic group and show how they affect the speech of communicants and determine the choice of speech means. Examples of written and spoken speech, such as Proverbs, articles from periodicals, and colloquial speech, were used as material for the analysis.
