Cosmism in Fine Art: Origins, Essence and Perspectives

Sokolov V.G.

Abstract

This work is devoted to cosmism in art, as it has become a particularly significant artistic style, clearly identifying high art as one of the ways of conceiving the world and man. It reveals the deep essence and the philosophical foundations of cosmism in visual arts. All that is presented in the context of those new views that were carried by artists-cosmists and which are associated with the symbolism of otherness and other states of matter, the inevitability of the spiritual evolution of mankind and, in general, with the ideas of the New World, New Man and New Beauty.
