The reviewartical is devoted to the 11th All-Russian Youth Conference with International Participation, 'Folklore Studies and Cultur-al Anthropology Today'. Researchers from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Syktyvkar, Smolensk, Tver, Tomsk and Warsaw participated in the event. Topics covered in the papers included mythological characters, phenomena of the modern city, questions of local identity and the song culture of the 20th–21st centuries.
