Abstract
The fusion of philosophy and culture in E. Paci’s works shapes his vision of architecture. This paper analyzes his philosophy of
architecture, which develops within the dialectic of tradition and innovation as applied to the architectural practice of forming mnemonic places. We turn to the method of architectural philosophy and the case studies to understand Paci’s philosophy in the field of practical architecture. The conflict between the past and the present must be resolved in a state of harmony between continuity and renewal. The method generating such a synthesis is functional architecture.
