The article examines the features of youth joke songsof the 1920-1960s. After the October Revolution of 1917, songs instilledin young people not only new ideological, but also emotional qualities, an optimistic vision of the future. Songbooks publish revolutionary songs, “songs of the shift” (Komsomol and Pioneer songs), in addition to revolutionary ones, jokes occupy a significant place. The consideration of songs is associated with the macrocontext of the era, which left an imprint on the texts, imagery, and formal elements. It is shown that humorous youth songs are a sign of the era.
