Mass and elite culture of the age of globalization in the context of philosophical discourse

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the theoretical positions of Russian and Chinese authors on mass and elite culture. Russian and Chinese authors analyze mass culture as the culture of the information society. They characterize elite culture as a product of high creativity. Comparative analysis made it possible to compare scientific positions, to determine the general and particular in the interpretation of concepts. A risk zone was identified, which was due to the essence of mass culture. Appeal to philosophical discourse made it possible to compare the alternative positions of the authors with the opinion of the author of the article.
