«A drop of nicotine kills a horse»: the story of a mysterious poster’s

Abstract

The article examines the origin of the slogan «A drop of nicotine kills a horse» and its existence in popular culture. The origins of the slogan go back to the XIX century. Occurred in the late 1950 s. like an ironic rehash of anti-smoker propaganda the slogan was taken as a medical fact not only by the general public, but even by physician.
