Abstract

A famous Japanese philosopher Nishida Kitaro (1870–1945) strove for combination of the national mental tradition with rational dialectic methodology of Western philosophy. Nishida’s cultural studies are a rather independent part of his original philosophic theory. We may say that in fact Nishida Kitaro was one of father-founders of the modern Japanese culturology.
