The review is devoted to the international scientific conference “Symbols and symbolism in Culture”, held on January 17–18, 2023 in the new building of INION RAS. The conference was held in a face-to-face format with the possibility of online participation and was of a pronounced interdisciplinary nature. Scientists of various humanities specialties have proposed a multidimensional study of the symbol and symbolism in culture. The breadth of approaches to the study of the stated problems demonstrates the relevance of the topic for modern humanitarian science and axiological demands of society as a whole. The topic has great potential for further study and development and will be in demand in various spheres of modern society and the state.
