The Argentine Chronicle as a polycode text: traditions and innovations

Abstract

In Latin America, particularly in Argentina, the chronicle has traditionally developed within the framework of narrative (literary) journalism. In the era of the Internet and new technologies, the works of writers-journalists who transform this multifaceted genre and adapt it to modern conditions contribute to the expansion of the audience and cause a lively discussion in scientific circles. The article analyzes the combination of traditions and innovations in the development of the chronicle genre as a sociocultural phenomenon.
