In Latin America, particularly in Argentina, the chronicle has
traditionally developed within the framework of narrative (literary) journalism. In the era of the Internet and new technologies, the works of writers-journalists who transform this multifaceted genre and adapt it to modern conditions contribute to the expansion of the audience and cause a lively discussion in scientific circles. The article analyzes the combination of traditions and innovations in the development of the chronicle genre as a sociocultural phenomenon.
