In the article for the first time in Russian scholarly literature the national constitution is considered as an integral part of cultural heritage. Based on the analysis of the multifaceted concept of “constitution” in the legal sense, it is revealed how the features of cultural heritage are manifested in national constitutions. It is suggested and substantiated that constitutions have become an integral part of it from the moment of their adoption, as they are an element of the evolution of national constitutionalism, national constitutional history and national constitutional order. The conclusion is made about the need for in-depth cultural studies of this topic because of its potential for identifying the common and the particular in determining the place of the constitution as part of the cultural heritage.
