For the ancient thinkers and, in particular for Porphyry of Tire, the highest mythical reality is always symbolic, allegorical. The article deals with the symbolic structure of XIII Homer’s Odyssey song in the interpretation of Porphyry of Tire, as well as the system of genres and styles of ancient poetry and their dialectal features.
