The article deals with a set of problems and ideas that are reflected in the works of thinkers presented in the cultural almanac «Faces of Culture». This edition contains books, articles, and essays by M. Gershenzon, Viach. Ivanov, V. Windelband, G. Simmel, J. Kohn, G. Lessing, G. Pomerantz. In the works of these thinkers, images of various cultural worlds are resurrected, the problems of man and culture, the inter-action of the microcosm and the macrocosm, education and upbringing are highlighted. The almanac is a dialogue of ideas and diverse concepts of outstanding thinkers of the past and present. The problems of understand-ing, moral self-standing of the individual, spiritual search and creativity are end-to-end for this publication, which, as in a mirror, reflects the entire se-ries of books on culture, founded in 1992.
